「創造性によるインパクトの創出」をテーマに、NOSIGNER株式会社の太刀川瑛弼さんがモデレーターになり、発酵デザイナーの小倉ヒラクさん、松華堂の千葉伸一さん、株式会社シルバーウッドの下河原忠道さんと3名のゲストが登壇。
This event explores Tikanga Maori co-design from 23-26 March 2017. Presentations can be on any aspect of Māori and indigenous design. We welcome submissions from practitioners about their work and design, academics about their latest research, and students / recent graduates who may have a project that they have completed or one in development that they wish to get feedback and input on from a highly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supportive audience.
The new AUT’s Master of Social Innovation (Certificate and Diploma) – the first dedicated postgraduate degrees in this field in Aotearoa will run in 2017, starting in the second semester (July 17) in AUT’’s south campus in Manukau, Auckland.
Our 2016 DESIAP Public Symposium was held at the Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC) in Bangkok on the 12th of July 2016. It was our second public symposium bringing together an exciting range of practitioners and researchers of design and social innovation from over ten countries around Asia‐Pacific.
The videos of all the talks and discussion that took place is now online. A summary of the 2-day workshop is also available here. Our first academic paper that’s come out of what we learnt so far has also been published at the 2016 Cumulus Hong Kong conference.

This workshop gathered about 15 leading practitioners from various NPOs, design agencies and social entrepreneurship companies in Japan. It was co-facilitated by Re:Public and Yoko Akama (RMIT University), generously sponsored by Miratsuku NPO and Consent Service Design company.
The Asian Consortium is a circle of friends, who share the same interest, care about social issues and try to look at possible solutions creatively. It is a place where ideas meet and collaboration happens despite any borders or believes.
As a forefront agency in building up and developing creative knowledge to form a cornerstone for sustainable economic development, since 2006, Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC) has initiated “Creativities Unfold” symposium, where Thai people can learn from the thinking process that has led to creations of global success. Each year, the annual symposium presents different themes. It brings together Thai and international experts and influential thinkers to share points of view that are favorable for the development of creative and design circle in Thailand.
On the 15th and 16th of July this year Auckland University of Technology and Auckland Council will be hosting NZ’s first Design for Social Innovation Symposium. This interactive and practitioner focused event will investigate the opportunities, challenges and growing areas of practice at the intersection of impact, social and design.
The Design for Social Innovation in Asia Pacific (DESIAP) is a unique gathering of key change-makers in Asia-Pacific who are all shaping the landscape of design and social innovation in this region. The inaugural event took place at the National Design Centre, Singapore, on 5-6th February 2015. ‘From Things to Services: The rise of service design and social innovation in Asia Pacific’ attracted over 150 people during the two-day event to share local stories, inspire ideas, stimulate discussion, provoke thinking and collaboratively explore what it means to design in this landscape.
