


Founded in 2019, the Design Ethnography Lab is a research laboratory within the Faculty of Art and Design at Institut Teknologi Bandung. The lab was established to develop design methods and practices informed by technological advancements and evolving social, cultural, and political issues and theories.
DE:Lab is open to researchers from both inside and outside Institut Teknologi Bandung and undergraduate and postgraduate students to explore and refine design and ethnographic methods in their research. The lab regularly conducts research activities and aims to apply these findings to the public, focusing on collaboration between the academic community, private sectors, and government.
Design Ethnography Lab initiates and organizes a variety of activities, including Dialog Desain, Museum Benda, Japan Design and Cultural Resources Management Course, LIKE Exotic NTT, SolMap Fest, and more.
