Impact Hub Yangon set up in Yangon (Myanmar) in 2016, is a pioneering organisation working to support young entrepreneurs through capacity building programmes. It is an innovation lab, a business Incubator, a social enterprise community center. They offer local change makers a unique ecosystem of resources, inspiration, and collaboration opportunities to help grow their impact. They are part of a global network of Impact Hubs that provide support to the social enterprise community centres, business incubators, and innovation labs.
They have recently hosted a Hackathon funded by UNDP to build entrepreneurship and innovative capabilities in young university students. They are also currently working with GIZ (a German Development Agency) and the Myanmar central government looking to build a social entrepreneurship eco-system with farmers in rural areas. To date they have engaged with approximately 3000 people and supported more than 30 new social enterprises.
